She's Here!!!!

Introducing Mary-Claire Carter Bruce........

Mary-Claire was delivered to us from God on August 6, 2008. She arrived at 4:28 pm and filled our hearts with a love we have never known. Mommy and Baby had a pretty easy delivery. We had a few minor complications....but when Mary-Claire drew her first breath we knew it was all worth it.

It has taken us a couple of weeks to adjust to this new adventure, but we have never been happier. We love to watch our baby girl grow and change with each new day. We are posting a few pictures from the past 17 days. We appreciate the love and support of all of you. We just feel so lucky to have been given this precious new life!

Friends, Family and Fun

Saturday, July 19th we celebrated with The Bruces friends and family. What a beautiful shower! Aimee and Courtnay helped Debbie Burns and her daughter Erin put together such an elegant and fun party. We had so much fun we stayed all day! I feel so lucky to have married into such a warm and loving family. The Bruce family definitely has some dear and wonderful friends. Thanks to everyone who came. It truly meant so much to us!

The Begininng

I have toyed with the idea of doing a Blog for quite some time. The idea of being still and figuring out how to do it just never appealed to me until now. I am 35 weeks pregnant, and starting to feel like the only comfortable place in the world is on our living room couch. So here I am with lots of extra time on my hands. As most of you already know we are expecting Baby Girl Bruce sometime in early August. We are so excited for Mary-Claire to arrive but anxious about all the impending changes. Most of all we hope to still have enough extra love for our beloved English Bulldog Boone Douglas.

Fort Worth Shower

What wonderful and dear friends I have. We celebrated the impending arrival of Mary-Claire with my friends and family in Fort Worth. The hostesses went way above and beyond to make this such a special day. When it was over I told my Mom......I wish we could start the day over and do it again. It was that fun!!

Houston Baby Shower

In May my Mom's sweet friends Suzanne and Laurie honored Mary-Claire and I with a beautiful shower in Houston. Even Mary-Claire's Dottie (Tanner's Mom) was able to come from Arkansas. I was also so excited to have my best friend from college Ashley Stevens there. We received so many lovely gifts and felt so showered with love. Here are a few pictures.
